Economy
America needs to right the course of our economy today. Challenges with global market expansion will require responses that improve our competitive advantage, and employment opportunities to assure the stability of our families. Millions of Americans need jobs now.
- What Congress can do:
- Small Business incentives to spur job creation
- Proper oversight and trade agreements to protect the American worker
- Tax relief for the middle class, not special interests
- Educational support to train our workforce for tomorrow’s jobs
Fiscal Responsibility
The greatest challenge we face is the legacy we will leave future generations - our national debt that must be repaid. It is incumbent on us today to begin a policy of fiscal responsibility to chart a new course for their future.
- What Congress can do:
- Close the loopholes that let large corporations avoid taxes
- Allow the government to negotiate for Medicare Drug pricing
- Bring back rules that prevented bank and market collapses since the Great Depression
- End the costly involvement in overseas operations that don’t affect our security
Energy & Environment
The evidence is clear that humans impact our globe, and do so more every day that our population increases. We must be wise in our utilization of the earth’s resources, and act in a more responsible manner to protect the environment.
- What Congress can do:
- Create a national program to develop American clean energy
- Regulate industry to protect our people and our resources
- Eliminate subsidies to large oil and gas companies
- Institute policies to conserve our resources for future generations
